Following on from #8550 and #8752 liaise with scientists for beamline testing during shutdown in preparation for making it the default driver from Summer 2026 release onwards. Moving to this driver is becoming increasing important for obsalescence and system performance issues
Acceptance criteria
- moving tested for expected motor types
- ethernet and serial tested
- homing tested for expected modes
- swapping old -> new driver preserves expected settings and gives same motion behaviour
