I agree with you answer, however I think it would still be worth mentioning WissZeitVG in the text. We mention in the abstract (via #195) that "our ideas take inspiration from existing RSE units in the UK and US, and adapt those to the German academic environment." WissZeitVG is a relevant aspect of the German academic environment, and until we can convince institutions to create permanent positions, senior RSEs have to use third-party funding (DFG, Horizon, etc.) to remain employed beyond the 5-year limit. |
